Is the Stainguard treatment safe? What impact does it have on the carpet and on the environment?

The Stainguard treatment is completely safe; we use a product called ‘Stain Shield’, a solvent-based polymer which is dermatological and ecologically tested and free from chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).

The Stain Shield polymers show no bioavailability, metabolism, hydrolysis or toxicity even at the highest applied levels, so you can use it with a clear conscience. It also has anti-allergens and won’t trigger any negative reactions - plus the breathability of the carpet fibres are not affected.
