Does the Stainguard treatment prevent stains completely?

The Stainguard treatment does not prevent stains entirely, rather it stops them soaking in, letting moisture and dirt ‘sit’ on the fibres, allowing for efficient cleaning. Some aggressive stains may be more difficult to prevent - chemically active stains such as urine or bleach may actually damage the fibres of the carpet itself.

Unfortunately the Stainguard treatment cannot stop these stains like this, however the best advice in all cases is to tackle the stain quickly - for more advice, see the Carpet Care section of the FAQ or this blog post.
